Paul Argy has more than twenty-five years of diversified experience providing business advisory and accounting services to clients across a variety of industries, including government contracting, technology, manufacturing, real estate, nonprofit organizations and other service businesses. As President and CEO of Argy, Wiltse and Robinson, P.C. (Argy), he has led the company from a start-up to one of the largest accounting, tax and business advisory firms in the nation – within the top 100 firms nationally in terms of revenue.
Paul formed Argy in 1991 after a ten-year career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC). His time at PWC was interrupted after five years when he worked as a Corporate Controller for a publicly-held technology/ government contractor. This provided him with valuable experience from the inside of a consolidated corporation.
Currently, much of Paul’s time is devoted to managing Argy’s rapidly-growing and ever-changing practice, including seeking out opportunities to expand the firm’s capabilities and geographical reach through acquisition. He also provides a vast array of business advisory services to Argy clients. He often consults on Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) opportunities and many times leads or participates in negotiations on behalf of his clients — one of many M&A service areas that go beyond the traditional scope of work offered by most full-service public accounting firms. Paul’s experience also includes providing management consulting to numerous rapidly growing businesses on matters such as incentive compensation plans, infrastructure issues, and more. He has twice been named as one of the top CPAs in the DC metropolitan region by Washington SmartCEO magazine
