ARGY, WILTSE & ROBINSON CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY

Company has grown exponentially; now ranked as one of nation’s largest CPA firms

McLean, Va. — September 12, 2006 — Argy, Wiltse & Robinson, P.C. (AWR), one of the nation’s fastest-growing certified public accounting and business advisory firms, is pleased to announce the celebration of its 15th year of business.

In 1991, Paul Argy, Steve Wiltse and Joyce Robinson set out to form a firm that combined the strong business advisory, accounting and tax expertise of a national firm with the responsiveness and personalized service of a local firm. Over the years, they built AWR into a highly successful company with nearly 200 employees in offices in McLean, Virginia, and Deerfield Beach, Florida. With 2006 revenues approaching $30 million, today AWR is one of the largest accounting firms in Washington metropolitan region and is ranked among the top 100 CPA firms nationally.

Since its inception 15 years ago, AWR has garnered ongoing recognition for its solid growth and operational excellence:
  • AWR was recently ranked the 95th largest accounting firm in the nation by Public Accounting Report and INSIDE Public Accounting magazines.
  • AWR was named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s prestigious "2005 Best of The Best," a list of the nation’s 25 best-managed accounting firms. Those selected were chosen from hundreds of firms based on more than 25 criteria.
  • Public Accounting Report ranked AWR number 8 in its September 2005 issue of the nation’s fastest growing CPA firms, citing a 33.8% annual growth rate.
  • AWR is one of the youngest firms on the Business Journal’s list of top CPA firms.
  • All of AWR’s peer reviews from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants have resulted in the highest ratings, an accomplishment achieved by only a small percentage of CPA firms.
AWR President and CEO Paul Argy attributes the firm’s success to its ability to attract and retain a highly skilled workforce. This, says Argy, has allowed the firm to acquire and maintain a solid client base.

"The fact that we don’t serve public companies gives us greater flexibility and eliminates the burnout that is typical of so many public accounting firms," remarked Argy. "This factor, combined with the positive work-life balance we encourage, has allowed us to cultivate a very high-caliber staff. "
