General Use

Antennas serve a vast array of applications driven by specific system requirements, including frequency of operation, aperture (wire, horn, parabolic reflective, and more), polarization (left, right, and circular), and radiation pattern (isotropic, omni-directional, and directional). These electrical considerations along with user-specified geometric constraints are used to produce antenna solutions for radio transmission, satellite communications, broadcasting, and navigation systems.

Mobile Devices

From cell phones to internet-of-things (IoT) devices, wireless connectivity relies on radiating elements such as planar inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) that are designed to be small and lightweight for portability while maintaining performance and efficiency. Synthesize the optimal antenna design to cover multiple frequency bands and integration challenges from cell phones and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices.


With the densification and proliferation of communication networks, basestations come in all sizes, shapes, and applications. AntSyn software supports the development of carrier-grade directional and omnidirectional antennas optimized for wireless technologies, including 4G LTE and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Antenna types include directional Yagi arrays and panel antennas that provide connectivity and backhaul for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks with multiple frequency and gain options. 

Wearables and RFID

In addition to being small, antennas in wearables such as smartwatches and medical monitoring devices must overcome a significant reduction in radiation efficiency due to energy losses associated with body proximity. AntSyn software specifically addresses these challenges with antenna solutions on large external substrates such as body-worn and RF identification (RFID) antennas.


For automotive radar, defense, and communication systems, antenna arrays offer the greater gain and beam-steering functionality necessary for higher-target resolution and to overcome the high losses that occur in crowded urban environments and at millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies. AntSyn software addresses array-design challenges with its proprietary genetic-based optimization.
