Fast RF Cordless Technology Developed with the Help of APLAC

Founded in 1981, Logitech designs, manufactures and markets human interface devices that link people to the Internet and enable them to work, play, learn and communicate more effectively in the digital world. Logitech is currently selling more than 100 million products per year and is recognized as world's leader in mouse technology. The company recently developed the Palomar digital radio technology with the help of APLAC®. This technology is now used in all Logitech's cordless products, including the latest MX700 Cordless Optical mouse, as well as in Logitech's Cordless Elite Duo desktop.

Mr Gerd Schneider, principal electrical engineer for Logitech based in Lausanne, Switzerland, has used APLAC for years. Recently, a new RF design unit has been setup in Logitech's office in Taiwan R.O.C. "During a recent training program at our Taiwan site, I used several APLAC-based examples to explain impedance matching and oscillator analysis. It was, from my point of view, the most natural way for illustrating the problems on an interactive and easy to understand way. It allowed also to write some ready to use tools for circuit design and analysis, that can be re-used now in many situations by our design engineers, even without APLAC programming experience."
