AWR Design Environment Web-Based Training Provides Jump Start on Enhanced Filter Design Features

Apr 28, 2020

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.

When: Thursday, May 7, 2020
Time: 10:00 a.m. PT
Who: Dr. John Dunn

This web-based training session will give RF/microwave software designers a jump start on using the enhanced filter design features in Cadence® AWR Design Environment®. The presenter will demonstrate how AWR® Microwave Office® circuit design software can be used for RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave (mmWave) filter design. An example of a distributed filter in board technology will be offered that illustrates tools for filter synthesis, optimization, and yield analysis for manufacturability. Electromagnetic (EM) simulation of the filter will also be demonstrated, and the results compared to models.

Dr. John Dunn is a senior engineer/EM technologist with Cadence and spearheads the AWR software training programs. Before entering the commercial electronics industry, Dr. Dunn was a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder, for 15 years. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.
