Breakthroughs in Phased Arrays and Radar
Presented by: Dr. Eli Brookner
Sponsored by: National Instruments
The advent of the active phased array has enabled significant improvements in radar capabilities. Beyond just the change in architecture, however, the system capabilities of phased arrays are driving the confluence of improvements in microwave and signal processing technologies, including GaN power amplifiers, MMIC and Extreme MMIC integration, T/R module cost reduction, silicon RF performance to greater than 100 GHz, Moore’s law, electro-optic integration, and new material systems such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, and metamaterials. This webinar discusses these trends in enabling technologies as well as the evolution in phased-array systems.
