Continuous modes have been widely recognized as the most significant new development in RF Power Amplifier (RFPA) design for 30 years. A simple piece of mathematical waveform synthesis reveals that full Class B efficiency can be obtained with a much wider range of harmonic terminations than classical theory has always stipulated. This enables RFPAs to be designed with greater bandwidth, and good linearity, at a constant high efficiency level. This introductory webinar covers the basic theory and a simple design example.
